Google doesn’t care about your website design when ranking you. It only cares about your website’s content. Many people take this as an excuse to ignore their website design and have a very ugly site. As long as their content is good and they have good search engine optimization (SEO), their site still ranks.
Inspired by Bailey, I created a platform for regular homework feedback. I added a cover sheet to my weekly homework assignments. The cover sheet asked parents to rank their child’s understanding of each assignment, on a scale of 1-5. I also included a space for parents to write a brief homework summary each week. This feedback was incredibly valuable!
Many budding web designers are of course self-taught. If you’re reading this and have never had a formal design lesson in your life, this doesn’t mean you have to abandon your dream of becoming a web designer. Academic qualifications have to a degree (excuse the pun) taken a back seat in favour of hands on skills. Web design is now a diverse industry and offers a large number of specific jobs that you can work in. From creative director to artworker, there is a job that’s perfect for you. Talk to other designers; expand your knowledge and work on developing your creativity. But don’t forget that often you will be asked to work within a team, so hone your communication skills as well.
Another basic element is shape. It is also a factor in setting the mood of the Design you are making. If you are going for a more masculine Design, you can use triangle or squares, shapes that are more angular in nature. If you want a more feminine design, using curved shapes like hearts or circles are better. Different shapes can also express different emotions. For instance, a circle will always signify unity and peace while a square can show stability and security.
I am happy to say that I identified our problem areas and corrected course. I rediscovered my “Night Before School Tool” and “Chip Clip System.” Things began to hum again.

KIS. Keep Philology it simple. Design is about uncomplicated, clean-lined products that are functional. Simple shapes, lines and curves will have your design looking fashionable and aesthetically pleasing.

Adopt an attitude of “Homework can be fun!” Your kids will take their cues from you and will quickly learn that homework can be challenging, rewarding and even enjoyable.
The amount of benefit your child gets from finishing a homework assignment NEVER outweighs the importance of your relationship with your child. The amount of time you spend cajoling and coercing your child to do their work is counterproductive. There is no way that homework should create tension in a family, and definitely not the kind of meltdowns the survey suggests.
