Why am I not seeing updates in the Check Your Refund Status tool?

Can a phone representative tell me the refund amount I requested?
First, is getting your WMR/IRS2Go refund status, which will update around Feb 22nd, 2025, per the IRS. Until then you could see the standard Topic 152 error message on the IRS refund tracker tool. Our phone representatives cannot provide you with the refund amount you requested on your return, even after verifying your identity. How is my tax refund processed?
Our representatives cannot provide your requested refund amount, even after verifying your identity. If your refund status says we sent you a letter requesting additional information, see Respond to a letter for more information and to review our checklists of acceptable proof. There is no daily time when we refresh refund status messages. Your refund status is updated whenever your tax return moves to a new stage of processing.
Obtaining the status of your tax return

If you made a payment and you’re trying to check the status, check with your bank. You cannot use Check Your Refund Status to check the status of a payment. If you used a tax preparer to file your return, contact them for a copy.
If you enter information that doesn’t match our system, you’ll receive an error message. After four attempts, you won’t be able to access your status for 24 hours. To resolve your issue, review the Social Security number and refund amount you entered to confirm they’re correct.
